Eggnog

It's a traditional festive favourite but a lot of people don't know how to make it. Just promise me you won't go out and buy the carton mix which you see on the shelf. This recipe of mine is so easy and quick to make. Delicious!

Serves 1.

1. Pour 30ml brandy, 25ml dark rum, a dash of sugar syrup and 1 large free range organic egg into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well, then strain into a saucepan.

2. Add 75ml whole milk and Simmer on a low heat. It's important not to boil the mix. Pour into your preferred glass rimmed with cinnamon and wait a few minutes. Then garnish with freshly grated Nutmeg and a cinnamon stick.

*To make the Sugar Syrup:

Bring 250ml water and 100g Caster Sugar to the boil, then cool.
